Young People proudly present…YouthPoint!

24 June 2016

Young people taking part in a film project at YouthPoint in Watford have made a promotional film to tell their peers about the support available as well as the many and varied Youth Connexions projects that take place in the centre.

The young people used the opportunity to gain film-making skills as well as celebrating all that is available for them at YouthPoint.  The project took place over two terms, and the participants started by planning the content for their film.  Under the guidance of a specialist film-maker, the young people were then instructed in how to make a film – starting by spending time filming themselves and their peers taking part in different projects in the building.

The young film-makers then learnt how to cut, edit and produce their film – putting together all the different elements using the ‘state of the art’ facilities available in the media suite at YouthPoint.  Lastly they added a voiceover.

“I really enjoyed this project”, commented one young person, “I learnt so much and I feel very proud of what we have produced.”
