Young people celebrated the opening of Ware Young People’s Centre in Marsh Lane. It provides a much improved facility and includes interview rooms, group work space, workshop and outdoor area.

The centre in Ware was officially opened by County Councillor Jonathan Kaye last month, and was purpose built by Whitbreads as part of their development of the site for a hotel and restaurant.

The centre provides a hub for work with young people including YC Hertfordshire’s successful summer National Citizen Service delivery, a recent healthy relationships programme and support to finding work or returning to education. It also offers a local access point for Targeted Youth Support and a reparation base for Youth Justice, producing the flower planters that can be seen outside County Hall and in local rail stations.
