Ensuring that young people have their ‘eyes open’ to CSE

21 March 2016

Youth Connexions teams delivered awareness raising sessions and events in 22 schools and colleges, in our own Youth Projects and One Stop Shops, and other locations across the county during the week of CSE Awareness Day (18th March.)

The campaign is designed to make sure that young people are aware of the signs and also know how to report suspected child sexual exploitation, so they can protect themselves and their friends from becoming victims.

During the week, young people were encouraged to take a photo of their own eye and post it on twitter with the hashtag #eyesopen. This allows people to see all the messages posted about the theme. There were some very creative photos and tweets from Youth Connexions Teams across the county.
