YC Hertfordshire, in partnership with Sandringham School in St Albans and its Youth Health Champions, is hosting its first conference focusing on mental health and well-being.

The event takes place on 23rd November at Sandringham School and is aimed at young people, parents and professionals.

A full day’s programme has been prepared and includes: reflexyoga, emotional freedom technique and an in-depth look at stress, anxiety and eating disorders from experts from Elysium Hospital and the eating disorder charity B-Eat.  Local charity Hectors House will be running their "love eat move" workshop and there will be a goalsetting workshop from the Head of Lean in Europe.

Speakers include those from the Samaritans 'post-vention' team, public health and other mental health providers.  Delegates can also attend workshops delivered by the Maudsley Hospital and here about their work with CBT.

The Conference also offers opportunities to explore young men's mental health, with talks from Arsenal FC's safeguarding lead as well as one of the Arsenal players and if that isn't enough,  a Saracens and ex England rugby coach will also be popping in to talk about fitness and pressure.

Keynote speakers Johnny Benjamin and the man who saved his life - Neil Laybourn, as well as comedian Jake Mills and mental health campaigner Jamie Harrington will ensure delegates have much to think about.

Day Tickets are free for teens, £35 for professionals and £15 for parents (only a few parent tickets are remaining).

Tickets are going fast!  If you can’t get a day ticket, you can still book individual workshops (for free). Workshop only tickets include the Safe Talk Suicide Prevention training and entrance to the information stands and market place but exclude refreshments and key note speeches .
