Groundwork and Youth Connexions launch new project
Groundwork and Youth Connexions have partnered to launch a new six month project as part of Hertfordshire County Council’s Future 565 scheme. 10 young people in long term unemployment have been recruited to work for six months on a wide-ranging scheme to improve Hudnall Park Outdoor Centre, Little Gaddesdon.
The scheme includes the design and construction of a mountain bike course and archery range. During the project the participants will develop new and existing skills in landscaping and conservation work, and will also work towards a City and Guilds Level 1 in Land Based Studies. The initiative is funded by the national Future Jobs Fund.
